about

Reconstruction of Self was a starting point in rebuilding after several deaths in my family. The deaths of those very close to me in my 20’s greatly changed the direction of my life. It felt as if the train had been derailed from the tracks, and I was grasping at nothing.
As I began to heal, recover, I found the 7 stages of grief

shock and denial
pain and guilt
anger and bargain
depression, reflection, loneliness
upward turn
reconstruction and working through
acceptance and hope

part of my healing and rebuilding process was to write music. These are the songs that got me through
Many of the songs fall into that self loathing space, where one wallows in pity and grief, kind of like how counting crows music is great when feeling sad, and to continue that sad feeling. There are moment in this album where things start to look up and for myself began to heal, move on and live again.
I wanted to write an album, that may assist in those who are dealing with such events inter own life, maybe help provide a starting point.

godspeed on your journey
